What have you found to be the average weight loss during breeding?
I have a couple of females that have lost almost 10 grams in the past two months! Is this the norm?

Another Question.

I have a female that started laying eggs the first week of January even though I never mated her. I thought she was too small at 46 grams so I did not mate her but she continues to lay eggs and has dropped down to 38 Grams !! She eats but not like she did before this all stared. Is this the norm?

What do you do with undersized females that ovulate & lay eggs?
Should I just go ahead & mate her since she is doing this?

All her eggs have been infertile so far of course.

Thanks for the help.

Last season I weighed my geckos in early June, about halfway into breeding season and again in Oct. after they had stopped breeding and were building up for winter. Here are the figures (first figure is June, 2nd figure is Oct):

Female 1: 45;65
Female 2: 63;90
Female 3: 44;56
Female 4: 63;92
FEmale 5: 58;81
Female 6: 51;76

I have a 45 gram female that I was waiting to get up to breeding weight (she was nearly a year old) and when she started ovulating she stopped eating, so I decided to breed her because I thought she'd lose weight by not eating. She has not laid yet, but she is eating more since she was bred.
