Axanthic

Hey ppl,

I've been told by a breeder that he has an axanthic leopard gecko for sale.
I've never seen one, how does this look?

He also has a blizzard eclipse. What makes an eclipse, an eclipse?

Here's a link to a thread that I posted with two leos who have the eclipse trait. It can produce solid eyes or partially black/ruby eyes- "snake eyes". An albino eclipse would have ruby eyes and a non-albino would have black. The yellowish leo in the thread has ruby eyes and the other one has black. http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=57786

Do keep in mind that "eclipse-like" eyes randomly pop up in the blizzards, so while it may have a similar looking eye to the ones in the thread above, it may not carry the actual eclipse gene.

When I hear axanthic I think of ball pythons not leos..

in regards to axanthic... he may be talking about xanthic leopard geckos so maybe he made a mistake. JMG reptiles has a Hyper Xanthic line... here is a link to their site http://www.jmgreptile.com/hyperxanthics.html
