Little baby #6 made it's appearance today. Beautiful little Mack Snow Eclipse, just love the pattern! Sadly he has one deformed foot? I don't really understand how this happens? There were no temp fluctuations other than 1 degree occasionally. My incubator maintains temp extremely well! By the way this proves to me the female I had thought was only Eclipse, is definitely 2014-06-01 21.42.12.jpg Mack Snow Eclipse as this was her baby!

I've had a couple that looked like their feet were on backwards when they hatched, but everything got turned around correctly pretty quickly. I have had a few born with missing toes when all the others were fine, so who knows?

I've had this happen as well I use a little squirt bottle with fresh water and give the feet a little squirt to get all the hatch medium off and check them, I also had a baby hatch with the umbilical cord warped around the back foot , I used a plastic tooth pick to gently unloop it she turned out fine and the cord pulled itself back in and healed up just fine in about 24 - 36 hours

Sometimes it just happens! Nature is funny that way. Some mutations are good and help them out some are bad and kill them but every now and again they happen for seemingly no reason.

Glad to hear it was just a bit of yolk for this little one! He's cute! Congrats!
