I have 2 baby gecko's and when I pick them up they jump on the floor, to play with them but It's hard catching them and I am lucky I have found them. Should I wait, until they are older to pick them up?

They seem skiddish by the way you worded that. In other word they are not used to you but everyday multiple times a day you can place your hand in the cage with them to and let them lick and smell you. Eventually they will not be scared and simple crawl into your hand...

My one gecko will crawl into my hand but when I pick him or her up, still he jumps on the floor. The other gecko crawled up my arm, down my back and jumped onto the floor. :D :I had to look down my dress because I didn't know where ninja went and I was looking all over the place for him. :main_laugh:

The little ones are always hyper. It's best to just handle them in the cage so they dont have far to fall. They can get away from you fast!
Best to wait until they calm down to handle outside the tank.

yeah... I just left mine alone for a while, save for a few hand-licking sessions now and then, and in about a week he/she stopped jumping! incredible how that works.

Yeah, the little ones always like to run or jump right off of the hand. I think it's because they don't have any depth perception yet..? That and they are way more skiddish at that age. You can get them used to handling much faster the sooner that you begin to handle, so we continue to handle them despite of how skiddish they are.. What you can do is just make sure you are handling them in a safe area and close to a surface, so if they do jump, they don't fall very far, and if they do get away, they can't go very far.

They seem pretty young. Try doing what others have said let them explore your hand and try to have a soft soothing voice so they don't get scared. And in my opinion you can't really "play" with geckos. Some of them don't even like to be touched if you have one that was like mine. I tried to be as sweet as candy! And she could satnd to be held. I could only keep her on my hand for like 2seconds just a few iches above the tanl floor
