I have a baby Leo that hatched in early September. I believe the 8th. Her eyes stayed shut for the first week. Then they opened. But closed again within a few days. Everytime she she's they ipen, but close before the day is over and her eyes are always closed shut. If they open during shed then it can't be a shed stuck around her eyes. Anyone know why this would be happening? She has to be fingered everytime I feed her due to her eye problem.

Are her eyelids normal looking? Are her eyes clear? A picture would be helpful.

Also, please be sure to post this in the correct sub-forum. I've moved it for you.

Her eyes seem to be normal. They're black, like all of my other leos. Well Not black. But the normal black and silvery color. I haven't been able to get any pictures with her eyes open yet. She has humididty, has clean substrate(paper towel) and she rats regularly. I hand feed her as many mealworms and/or crickets she'll eat every day. uploadfromtaptalk1453727652016.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1453727664371.jpg

In the first picture, do you see how the eyelid at the front of the eye is a little bit notched? It's hard to tell from the picture, but this may be a minor problem. I recommend that several times a day, you dip your finger in clean water and then transfer the drop of water to her eye. I've found that in geckos with minor eyelid problems, this helps lubricate the eye and they usually open their eye once the water gets there. Let us know if that works.

I have been rubbing her eyes with a wet qtip to get them wet. I've been doing this for about a week now and it doesn't seem to me working.
