Baby Leo

Hello everyone, I hope someone can help with a problem I'm having. I was at Petsmart the other day and noticed they had an itty bitty hatchling in with a bunch of juvie leos. I was shocked that they would put such a small little thing in with the bigger guys. It literally looked like it had just hatched. The other bigger leos were in the hide, and this little thing was just sitting there outside the hide.

I decided to take it home with me. I felt sorry for it and felt I could guarantee it a good home where it could get proper care and food. I named it Tiny...as I obviously don't know the sex yet...and am waiting till I do to find a better name. I set Tiny up in it's own tank with a hide, water dish, etc.

The problem I'm having is that I haven't been able to get Tiny to eat. It just shed today so I'm wondering if maybe now it will eat. I keep putting a small cricket in there. I do leave it in ther for 15-20 minutes...but no luck. I currently only own adult geckos, so I'm stumped as to what to do to get it to eat.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

congrats on the new addition. small to mini meal worms about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch depends on how tiny, tiny is. 1/2 inch might be too big..also if tiny just shed it might not be hungry. give it a little time to settle in. it's been under a lot of stress. patience.

I just picked one up from petco the other day that is even too small to use my adult calcium dishes. I am just using baby food caps and feeding it small meal worms and small crix.

I always start our babies on small mealies. I think crickets can just stress them out sometimes, especially when they're in a new environment.
