I never thought about a mason jar. They are much cheaper... LIke 10 bucks for a dozen I think.
Malt/Mallorie, I'm not sure what Nevin is using, but you could purchase screen at Lowes and use it instead of the flat piece. Just screw on the round piece of the lid. You'd have to make sure that the screen waas larger than the opening.
thanks guys, my friend used to use pickle jars. he would just collect them when they were empty. as for the lids, eather what whitney said, or for this one, i just punched holes in the top with a nail punch
