Back into the reptile world

Hello everyone, my name is Laurence Hardy, I live in Harrah, Oklahoma and I've kept reptiles (specifically geckos and colubrids) for about 5 years. Not too long ago I made an unceremonious exit from the hobby and I sold my geckos and snakes. I'm almost in a place now where I feel I can care for critters once again so I decided to return to the forum, but I was unable to recall my information, thus this account was born. Until I'm ready to keep reptiles again I'm content to browse the forum, ask the occasional question and get my feet wet once again in the reptile world. :)

Welcome back. Im sure if you ask one of the mods they can retrive your account for you if you want. Or you can start a new in this account. Good to hear your ready to get back into the hobby. Im a big fan of most colubrids aswell. I only have 1 king for now though.

Originally that is just what I intended to do, but I canceled the email account I used for it awhile back. (Too many email accounts) I reasoned it would be easier just to start over. Plus it gives me a chance to leave behind any stupid things I might have said in the past. ;-) I kept California kingsnakes back in the day. I loved them because they had such a great feeding response but sometimes that translated into them attempting to ingest my fingers...

This time around I want to get more into Boids and small desert Varanids. Maybe one leopard gecko for old time's sake. :) Boa constrictors and subspecies fascinate me along with Savanna monitors and ridgetails. I now have enough space for large species and I'm up for the challenge but I'm going to spend more time researching and expanding my general reptile knowledge base first. I try to stay off my high horse and not let experience/pride keep me from learning. After all, there's always someone with more experience. Even though this is for the majority a gecko forum I have found very useful information on snakes and other lizards from some very knowledgeable people. I appreciate this forum very much!

Sounds good! I have a blairs king and a kenyan sand boa aswell as my leo. All good animals even though the KSB bites -_-. I like the kings feeding responce aswell, its much easier then with the boa, where im trying for 3 hours the first time i fed her XP. JUST found out that pinkie rats(F/T) are her fav. Thankfuly my king is not inclined to bite. I look forward to see some rep photos from you as you get back into the groove of things :).
