Backgrounds...a necessity?

We currently don't have a background on Jackie's tank...are they necessary? Do they make the leo feel more secure? Pros and cons would be awesome!

They are by no means necessary.

Pros: Looks nice, may make the tank darker (depending on the background and what it would be convering) which could comfort the leo a bit.

Cons: Cost? That's really all I can think of.

I am in the process of looking for one right now. Hope I was somewhat of a help.

Pros: Can look nice, can prevent freak outs due to reflections

Not necessary, i have all my geckos in tubs without backgrounds and theyre fine

I like them because I believe it "encloses" the tank a bit and helps them interpret their surroundings as more secure. Plus it looks cool.

I never used them, they look nice but defently not a must.
