BAD parkers / drivers.

I went to wal-mart today, it was fairly busy but no reason for there to be like NO parking. Driving around I notice such terrible parking. People taking up 2-3 spaces, people parked in wheel chair when they aren't aloud, even people parking in places where it clearly states "NO parking". This is so anoying to me. I think it is absolutely absurd how people park. This is something that always has gotten on my nerves.

Bad drivers who don't know what there doing and then they look at you like your doing something wrong, I just feel like rolling down the window and yelling: Buddy learn to drive! People are always running reds almost hitting people. It's just like what if they hit me one time?

Does this make other people mad or am I just picky?

For bad parkers all I can say is I park out in the middle of nowhere, because I’m definetly not an expert parker myself.

For bad driving, sometimes I just don't know where people's heads are...

I live in a condo complex where there is tons of parking outside. I constantly see people parking crooked, too close to the other cars or even taking 2 spaces. What's worse for me is we know who the bad parkers are.:( I get on my wife all the time because she has a problem only with parallel parking. She clams up every time. I guess some people just can't park, no matter how long they've been driving.

you think its bad up there, you should try living here(retired central) these people drive around in their $80,000 cadillacs taking up both lanes when they drive running red lights, i seen one old lady last week pull up to a parking spot that was in front of a street light, ran right over the parking spot concrete divider, right into the light, got out locked her car and went into target lol, and during the winter, all the northerners that are atleast 70 and older come down here and i feel like driving with a helmet and impact gear on lol

I feel ya! Houston is the land of Suburbans and Hummers. People can barely keep them in the correct lanes on the street/freeway let alone parking spaces! Stop signs are also like "suggestions" here yet no one realizes that you can turn right on a red light.

I once was in Houston for 3 days. I have come to terms that it is a city that i don't ever want to go back to. For the exact reasons you just mentioned. You have some crazy drivers down there.

I'll take my Ohio drivers even though they aren't much better but at least we can drive in the snow. LOL.

for the relatively short time i was in texas i learned the only thing texans can drive are cattle XD. it's just as bad down in NYC though, which is why i take the train. the taxi drivers are insane!

for the most part people in the city i live in are decent parkers. i just hate it when you're going down a one way street and all of a sudden a cop car is blocking the rest of the way down. you have to back out, but the stupid people behind you NEVER get it. they get mad and tell you to just "go around", uh sorry, my car isn't small enough to fit through a 3 foot space between a cop and someone's parked car. instead of everyone being cool and backing out you end up being sandwiched for a good while- almost an hour on halloween night and was so mad because i had to pee like hell.

I work in a garage that only has about 15 parking spots, one of which is handicap. we will have people pull in and take up three spots. they make no effort to get their car in ONE spot. That or people who don't even try to get in a spot. they pull in front of my bays and leave their car there. i can have a car in reverse, halfway out of the shop and they will pull up behind me and leave their car.

After I get off and am headed home, i will get stuck behind someone who wants to go 15 in a 45. It wouldn't be so bad if people would just pass. Instead, traffic will creep along at 15 mph, two lanes wide. I work 7 miles from my house. OK, it takes me 15 minutes to drive to work at 6 am when there is no south bound traffic, but it takes me nearly an hour to get home at 5? I understand that it is rush hour, but come on people, go NEAR the speed limit.

While we are ranting...

Are turn signals optional on cars sold in Florida?

No no...they just don't come with a lot of turn signal fluid :p (as my father would say..)

I can't stand it when people take up more than one parking spot. I mean, really, is it THAT hard to straighten your car up a little bit? Bleh..Atlanta is crazy too, especially with the whole traffic signs/signals just being 'suggestions'..ugh.

This thread reminds me of a scene in Indiana Jones:

Everyone is in a plane with a major gas leak and probably going to crash. Indiana is at the wheel.

girl(forgot who she was): *shouting over the engine* "Are you sure you can fly a plane????"

Indiana: "I can fly a plane fine!!! What I can't do is LAND!!!!!"

I nearly got rear ended last weekend by one of those Stop signs are optional people. The he had the nerve to honk at me! Like my complete stop to avoid a $200 ticket was completely out of line and ruined his day. WTF?

I drive for a living, so I share your pain.

Heres a little video that those with a twisted sense of humor may enjoy.

I live in Mass. We have no directionals. We are always right. You can take right turns on red, but not always. If the light has been green for more than .05 seconds you are expected to lean on your horn & yell in your best Boston accent. If it snows, you're taking your life into your own hands. The one I still don't get is people here drive just as bad in the rain! C'mon it's rain, step on it already! Ooh don't for get that there are only 3 people who can truly parallel park in the whole state...I'm not one of them! Nah, I have no issues with drivers.

I am very very picky about driving, I get really annoyed with people who drive under the speed limit, and people who drive more than 10 over the speed limit. Another big thing for me is failure to signal, I cant stand this!! We also have a big problem with people running red lights. This is a big reason I want to become a cop, so I can catch all those annoying drivers and so that I can pull old people over who are driving slow and let them know that they have to speed up.

Did you know it the state of VA the ticket for going 10 miles under the speed limit costs more than the ticket for going 10 miles over the speed limit (now this does not include highways or interstates)

If any one watched that video "Hammers & Floodlights" it was a side splitter and so close to the truth. I was driving on the freeway once going 70 the speed limit. This chick behind me had the nerve to flash her lights at me to move and she could obviously see I couldn't because of a truck next to me. When she passed I gave her the finger like 70 isn't fast enough for you?
