One of my leos I noticed was going to shed before i left for work no problem hes a year old and has never had trouble before he has moist hide and plenty of things to rub against. I come home and he has shed but his face was shiny and almost sticky to the touch from what I found online he shed some of the skin too early?
That looks better just 2days later the problem is i noticed he is not closing one eye very much though he can get it shut it almost looks like the bottom eyelid got pulled out a bit is that possible? Can it heal on its own if so? He acts like nothing is wrong but I dont think hes ok not being able to close one of his eyes very much...
Thank you for any advice

I know what you mean by "pulled"...that happened to my leo when he had a bad shed. He can still close his eye, but the lid looks dropped & his eye seems more buldgey.

Well I'm not sure what it is...Just wanted to say I'm not sure why roger and Kevin don't see it. well Kevin is partially blind and see's things... :D

Anyway I DO see what you're talking about, it looks almost as if it's slime-like. Is it actually wet or just look like it? I'd maybe agree with you he shed it too early, or pulled it off before it was ready? Maybe some ointment on it? (But I don't want to say for sure...incase this will lead to problems)

Reply to Question
"Now THAT'S pretty funky looking... Is that just after the shed in question, or has it stayed like that?"

No, that is how he is now. He's "recovered" already and the eye has stayed like that. He can still hunt pretty well, but is extra sensitive to light now. But doesn't seem to mind the light as long as I turn it on while he's still in his dark hide. He's able to adjust to it better I guess.

Thank you guys and no they grey isnt really wet he licks his eye alot more tho and the shinyness is gone his eyelid remains a bit pulled though and hes not eating just yet... I was just worried it was hurting him but hes still moving around fine and friendly so ill just keep an eye on it and if it gets any worse off to the vet thank you everyone for the help :)

Allergic reaction? Since he started with such a bad shed I spayed a mist on him with aloe in it any chance he is having a reaction? I take him out and put a warm wet rag over his face and he looks almost normal when he gets bored and walks out from under it these pictures were right after.. But as soon as he starts to dry is like his skin gets tight and he starts looking bad again.. hes still active and acting fine i had fed him no problem
