badly hurt - gecko got bit

Hi everyone,

our male leopard gecko got bitten by the female quite badly... we separated him for now, but are very worried about the injury. We applied some iodine hoping it helps the healing process.

Is there anything else we can do? Attached please see a picture (wounds on the head are not the bad ones, but the one on the arm is what we're worried about).

The left arm has swollen a bit.

Please - can anyone help?

Keep it clean and apply a little neosporin if you want (make sure it is the original, NOT painkiller), it should heal up just fine.

Soak in warm water twice daily...I wouldn't apply anything as a matter of fact. I'd just leave him be and let it heal by itself. The left arm doesn't look TOO swollen to me.

I don't think a vet visit would help. These guys tend to heal themselves quickly as long as he's by himself.
