Ok so, I had a water dish in my dragons cage thats about 1" deep and a little bit bigger than her stomach. Along with her normal daily soak in warm water, I had seen her several times trying to fit in her water dish, splashing it EVERYWHERE, ripping up the papertowels next to it, and laying on the glass bottom of the tank. She would go back and fourth between the water and the glass tank, so i got a longer tupperware container big enough for her to completely lay in, with water about an inch deep in it, and sides short enough for her to climb in/out of. She's been using this CONSTANTLY. My question is, is it bad for her to be laying in the cool water for a really long time? shes in and out of it pretty much all day, staying in there for like a half an hour at a time or longer. I still give her the warm soaks daily, but will the laying in cool water alot cause her any harm or get her sick?

Any answers are must appreciated :)

What are the temps in her tank?
I would assume the only reason a beardy would spend SO MUCH time trying to cool off is because shes much too hot.

The temp right under her heat lamp is only 96* and she usually stays on her log anyways which is halfway in between her cool and hot side. she only goes on the hide under her heat lamp two or three times a day. the temps are correct also; its a digital thermometer with a probe right where she lays

Is this a new behavior or has this just started ??? Im thinking maybe to help shed??? Also be careful that the new dish isnt adding humidity to the tank. They can develop respritory infections quickly.

Yeah, it just started in the past few weeks; the dish isn't adding humidity either, its on the cool side of her tank. she isn't showing any signs of shedding either?? this has been happening for a few weeks now, as well.
