This might be obvious, but just in case... don't keep the three together. And yeah, room temp (75-80) is a bit chilly for leos. They like it around 90.

Yes they stick to the bottom of the tank. I use this kind on two of my 3 tanks

http://www.petmountain.com/product/...46/zoo-med-repti-therm-under-tank-heater.html

with this to help control the temp/power

http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-heaters/11442-512443/zoo-med-repti-temp-rheostat.html

or this one

LOTS of people on the forum use FlexWatt Heat Tape (scross 1/2 way down the page)

DO a search on the forums for heating and you'll find LOTS of stuff.:D

I have a cobra heat mat on my 20 long for my leo and I love it. It stays a consistant 100 degrees and I think it works a lot better than the zilla that is on my son's ball python tank. We taped that one and once itheats up teh tape will eventually release as it heats up and you'll be batteling the constantly falling heat mat. I used a piece of styrafoam to keep it pressed agaisnt the tank, this way I also know that there is no heat loss thru the bottom of the pad and it's all going upwards into the tank. It keeps my tank at a consistant 93-95 degrees f. Its the 6x11 7 watt cobra mat.

Just to add a note in case you don't know, but you shouldn't keep an african fat tail and a leopard gecko together either, they have different requirements. So, you will need 3 seperate setups. Both need a 90-95F heated area.

They are my favorite as well, though mine are the Ultratherm brand (same product, the T-Rex Cobra is a rebranded Ultratherm).

Totally wish I had gotten Ultratherm insted of t-rex brand. The one in the black box (Ultratherm I presume) is 6x11 12 watt, where as the one in the t-rex flame box is 6x11 7 watt. I feel gyped :( but I still Love it :)

I believe the fat tail requires a bit more humidity/tropical-ish habitat whereas the leo is desert set up, low humidity, and different habitat. Desert versus tropical/grassland.

I keep my fat tail on coco fiber & mist once in the morning. I have a heat lamp for her during the day & a heat pad under her humid hide. She mostly sleeps in the humid hide.

My leopard gecko is on sand. The sand heats up really good & he is able to regulate his temp by moving around the tank, but he likes to hang out in the hide right under the lamp during the day.
