I have a TBB. He is not usually a very happy fellow. He isnt real fond of me holding him, or even putting my hand in his tank. I am hoping that over time this will change. Does anyone else see that these guys are alittle more grumpy than others?

We have a male and a female BB. Our male is a royal demon and our female isn't one of our friendliest geckos either. We get them out every other night for about 20 minutes. I have come to the conclusion that this is just their personalities.

I dont think I would ever be able to hold him that long. He wants to jump out of my hand everytime I pick him up. Really hoping this changes. He is a beautiful guy.

Loki is the same way. He is 82 grams and will be a year old November 6th. It takes 2 of us to keep him on the bed, LOL. We have had him since early Feb 08 and he has improved some. At first he used to love to try and bite.....now he just does his posturing thing but knows we are going to take him out- like it or not!

I think it's been said that this behavior is typical of Blizzards really. So not just when you mix in some Albino, but generally all Blizzards tend to be more testy. Granted, there are exceptions!

I have a blizzard not a blazing, his name is Blizzy (original right?) and boy is he a piss. He screaches, runs at me opened mouthed and hates to even see me come home, he runs in his hide at the sight of me.. I cant hold him for more than 3 seconds without him wrigging fighting to be free.. or jumping :main_angry:

One of our first major pairs of leos was our TBB. The male was VERY mean, and even bit Mallorie and drew blood. After that, I worked with him, holding him as much as possible. Now, he gets grumpy when we don't hold him, climbing at the front of the cage when we are in the gecko room. There is hope!

I am gonna make your jealous now :p I have TBB and she is a sweetie came to us 11months old she was actually brought in from the USA and from day one she has been nothing but lovelyness. She likes to come out and snuggle up and often just sits there for an hour at a time and gets grumpy when you put her back.

My new mack snow on the other handle is a total nightmare he is completely nuts i cant even get him on my hand he just runs and jumps and leaps.

I have seven Blizzards and I find the bigger they are the more cranky they are. I have only had two from hatchling and they are both OK to pick up but they are a little squirmy and they settle down quick. My biggest female is the crankiest, I got her from trade for some animals and she had bit the previous owners and they wouldnt pick her up after that. I can pick her up now and she doesnt even try to bite anymore.:main_thumbsup:
