well i got my first beardie around this time last year so that makes him at least a year old. he is 12.5-13 inches, isnt that kind of small for his age, he doesnt look skinny but isnt fat like i have seen some of other beardie owner pictures, i have one pic, maybe taken a month or so ago.

some history on him, i bought him online when i lived in Wyoming, well the UPS that he was shipped was delayed for a week, ( i was so mad, spending $50 on shipping and they didnt even get here overnight,) i was sure that this little guy died, but once i got the box, he was still alive, very skinny and cold but alive.
since then i moved three times, so each time he wouldnt eat for a couple of days to get used to the new area, also, he has never been very friendly at all, he never did bite but thought about it a lot. finally about a week or so he is a lot calmer, i can actually pick him up for short periods

Lately, he quit eating crickets, about a week ago. he thinks about going after them but then decides he doesnt want them, i think he ate two in a week.

he gets greens as much as he can eat in a day. temp is all good, big enclosure. i did start feeding him some supers, to see if he can digest them so hes been getting one or two a day. would that cause him to not want crickets? he begs for more supers but dont want to give him too many yet. his poop looks normal just a little more chilitan in it from the supers but looks good?
I am pretty sure he is a he, but since he is my first beardie i guess it can be questionable he defiantly has the V shape.

That's horrible about the one week delay in shipping, I would have been furiated too!! We had one reptile shipment get delayed one day and I thought I was going to lose it!!

One of ours also is over a year old and is only about 16 inches, just a little bit bigger than yours.. Ours, however, was from a pet store that didn't provide UVB lighting, which we figured is what stunted his growth. So along with him not getting any UVB for a week, plus the moving around a lot throughout his life, could have been the cause of stunted growth, but I'm no expert!

Also, I don't know if this means anything, but our little one eats A LOT of his greens, more so than our other one (who is a normal size).

We feed supers too, and our beardies don't normally eat crickets and supers in the same day, we just do one or the other (we feed supers most of the time, and get crickets occasionally).

hes getting bigger

yay, hes getting bigger well width wise anyways went to roaches and man he loves those things, so hes in roaches and supers and greens. He still only eats about an inch diamater of greens a day, I do put the supers in it and he ends up eating those and the greens, do you think i should just feed him the roaches/supers one day and the greens the other day so he will be hungry? i want him to get bigger. but i want him to be healthy too. he still gets to go out in the sunshine everyday for at least an hour. and has a good light in his enclosure. heres a pic of it, this was when he was younger and had a mercury vapor light

size

the size is
2.5 feet wide 2 feet tall and 5 feet long.
boy i was excited when i made this, however it sucks to have to move.
my hubby isnt to thrilled that its that big but i told him that the lizard would get bigger. i hope he does o ill have some explaining to do. if i was going to do it different i would have a top door instead of a front door, its very heavy maybe a sliding door would of been better also i would of made it shorter, because it weighs a ton, but i origionally wanted it that tall so i could have a mergury vapor light in it, but after it died at 6 months i didnt want to get another because it was so expensive and didnt even last a year.
i guess it is fine if you dont move like every 6 months. and guess what we are moving again. ahhh
