Been lurking for so long, now I have a reason to say hi!

For months I've been reading all these forum posts and looking at pictures of geckos and learning so much about these cute little guys.

A little backstory: I work at a large chain pet store that sells fish and small animals and reptiles so I come into contact with a lot of leos and cresties (among other reptiles) and that's what made me go looking for more information and led me to this place (and a ton of other sites). Well, long story short, I had to have one. So after a few months of researching, my boyfriend and I decided a leopard gecko was totally the perfect pet: we could afford it and it could live comfortably in our small apartment. We saved up the money for everything we needed (and thanks to that sweet, sweet employee discount it wasn't too bad) and now here we are, happy dads to our new little leo, Rocko.

We've only had him for maybe a week but he eats a TON and has plenty of energy when we play with him. I was worried that when we got him home, he'd be all stressed and not eat or leave his hide but he ate 10 crickets the first night!

So yeah, hello!

Welcome to a fellow MA person! Glad you got him and are having a good experience. Warning: I started 13 years ago with "one leopard gecko" and now there are over 40!
