Has anybody had a gecko that was calm for years and one day snapped?

I do have some mean ones that start that way..
I also have some I swear that runs from the blood of the father lol..

I have some that are more 'high strung' and more likely to bite. They have always been this way, though. Oddly, my most unmanagable leo (is not my Blazing Blizzard ) has never bitten me. He's a Mack Snow Tremper Albino. He just likes to squeel and fuss and wiggle. :main_rolleyes:

Never had a problem with any of my geckos. Some i feel like they might bite me if I try to pick them up but i just let them walk onto my hand instead of picking it up. My father recieved a nasty bite from one of my giant males that escaped. He gets up early in the morning and found it walking in the kitchen, so he goes to grab it and he left a nice bite mark that bled quite a bit.

I think I got bit one time by one of my little girls but I didnt feel it cause she's still so small. I think its just that some leos get a complex

I haven't ever been bit, but I have had little ones lunge at me, but that isn't unusual for the little tikes.

I will say though, my Mack Snow, who is about 4 months now, she is crazy.

also... my tremper stripe 'het' raptor, she will eat all the worms i put in the dish is one sitting... pretty funny litter personality for sure. Sometimes she gets too excited about her food and thinks she should eat my fingers instead... looking at them as though they were mealies. haha...

My 2 jungle rainwaters are sweet as could be, my mack snow is as predictable as the weather, hence why her name is storm.

One of my females likes to bite. She likes to attack almost anything that moves. Now our male mack snow is a squacker and he likes to open his mouth and look like a bad boy but he is all squack. He's never really bit.

I have a few that are very nervous and bite, but for the most part I have geckos that are content just handing out and enjoying the attention.

Getting bit isn't bad at all though, none have made me bleed and it has never hurt.

Out of all of our Leopard Geckos.. We only have one that bites. She also goes into a death roll when she bites. Haha. She is a Mack Snow from Allbey. Here is a picture. She bites when you go near her. I have tried handling her.. she just is crazy.

I have two leos but they wouldnt bite doesnt matter what i do !
Then a month ago my male did this ....

I just couldn't stop laughing so my husband made the picture:main_laugh:
The lovebite did not hurt but he wouldn't let go for 2 minutes

I've only been bitten twice . . . Both times by the same male . . . He is a such a beast - and obviously a maneater!! :main_laugh:

oh yeah i have been bit, several times in fact and i own way more than ten geckos. at one time up towards 200

All our geckos like to chew on my thumb. Except the 2 juvies/pre-adults, they only bite when your fingers are near their maw and brush it, and then usually the mouth just pops open and doesnt lunge. Our baby will lunge at you if your in his cage. 1 of our adults stopped trying to eat me, and now shes all lock jaw around you if you so much as go near her face once, shes like nrrrr wont biteeeeee no no i shouldntttt. The other is our male and hes a crotchety fat man, and the other is a fem we rescued who was never handled really so with her its expected.
