Bell or Tremper?

Okay, so we're having some issues determining exactly what Goob is. Some have told us that he looks Tremper and some have said Bell. We really have to figure this out. (lol) We have seen geckos of both that have the same pattern as his, so that hasn't really helped us out very much in trying to guess. Maybe ya'll will have better luck. So Tell me, what does everyone else think?

(You can't see his eyes extremely well in the picture b/c I took them on my iPod, but they're like this weird, burnt brown color with maybe a slight red tinge, but it's hard to tell.....)

I hope he is b/c we had bought a female Tremper albino to pair him with and they look absolutely nothing alike so we've been kinda FML ever since trying to figure it out. (lol)

If there is any question i wouldnt breed the pair until u got a definitive answer but thats just my opinion.

We're not. We had them paired together at first, but as soon as we realized that it wasn't definite we separated them.

Thanks!! He was our first and we got him at Petsmart so we have had no idea what he is this whole time. He was marked as a "male jumbo albino leopard gecko." (lol)

....and his pupils are black btw. (lol)....

Do you have like a side by side comparison eye shot of all 3 different albinos? (just so i can see.)

I looked on Google btw and found some pictures of (what are listed as) Bell Albinos and they have black pupils as well.??

The color of the pupils doesn't differentiate within albino strain let alone any leopard gecko period. All have black pupils. It's the veins and color of the iris that helps you determine which albino it is. Your guy does look like a Tremper Albino.

Search gecko forums and you should be able to find a thread with shots of each albino stain.

Yes they do, I'll hop on my laptop and send a link to a thread, and yes albinos pupils AND veins are different for each strain.

this should shed some light, Im pretty sure yours is a tremper, but yes bells have a ruby red to black pupil. Then the actual color of the eyes/veins can determine the strain of Albino!
