I figured I'd post a new thread... my question couldn't be answered before because the pictures weren't clear...

These are a little better...hopefully enough for you guys to look at...

So, what's the verdict?

I'm gonna say not gravid. Just not seeing what I'd call eggs. And believe me. If she had eggs in there, you wouldn't have any question. They're pretty easy to see. :main_yes:

I dunno, I am new to breeding and we had a female that looked about like that. I swore she didn't have eggs and the girlfriend swore she did, 2 days later we had our first clutch of eggs. Was an interesting morning, had to run out and pick up an incubator and everything else needed to keep the eggs.

Thanks for everyone's input...she unexpectedly laid a clutch on March 8th, which turned out to be infertile...kinda sucks cuz I was really waiting for those :( Another one bites theh dust.

Sorry to jump in on your post - but my question fits right in...

Ok, so in those pics she was gravid - right? What other signs do you look for? My Gretchen has stopped eating - 3 days now (still pooping). Lays around on the heat ALL the time - no wandering the tank, even at night. She is 59 grams and her belly looks like your pics. No sign of shed and I'm a tad worried. I know they can go off their food once in a while - but I was wondering if maybe she could have eggs. (No male - so it wouldn't be from breeding).

The temps are 91ºf on the hot spot, 84ºf ambient on the hot side and about 74ºf ambient on the cool side.

I can start a new thread if you want. But thanks for any advice...

Yes they are known to lay without males, but none of my younger girls did.
