bender is a she. we have had her since a day after she was born. she was born this way and the breeder was going to put her down. we took her in under the understanding if she could not feed on her own without assistance and the bend in her neck interfered with her quality of living. she would be put down. she has not missed one meal. we have had her i think 6 or 7 years, i can't remember. she is not a breeder nor will she ever be bred. she eats normally and surprisingly has ZERO problems doing so. she is a "pet" evil and spunky she is but a definite fighter from the very beginning. so here she is.

Awww that looks bad, but she does look good poor thing,

I think we love all our animals but when one comes along that is "special" there is something about them even more.

it looks bad but like i said it doesnt effect her quality of life or her ability to eat.
i do not feel bad for her because she acts just like any of the other snakes we have. she just happens to have a bend in her neck.
