Hey!

I am SICK of crickets...stinky poopy smelling crickets....I love their sounds but they SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

So....lol...I was wondering where the best price for Dubia can be found? I looked on Kingsnake. With the beardies eating me out of house and home, I am guessing I need about 100 breeders...and to start maybe 100 nimphs..

I will be getting a wheeleri pair, I should have a complete pair of milii soon once my girl from Marcia is ready, and I have two cresties, and a few more on the way, plus I have some leos that like crickets that I want to switch over to the Dubia....so that is a lot of mouths to feed...Do you think I need more?!

Thanks!

well,I have aussie geckos, cresties, and beardies along with the leos and the aussies won't eat mealies. I was feeding crickets but I just can't stand the smell. Even after I clean them, they still stink so bad.

Cody has a great care sheet on them, and some for sale too I think.

800 for $150 is a great deal I'd say.

I just pulled my colony out of the garage. They were left there over winter with no food. Somehow I still have a ton. Going to separate them out tomorrow to start breeding again.

I have used the theroachguy.com. He is running a special this weekend for 120 @ $30.00 shipped. They don't stink and they last longer.

THanks all for the links! This is really helpful! So do you think with all our animals I should go ahead and buy the big colony of 800-1000 for $150?

800-1000 for $150 is a really good deal! I think you'll use them. My geckos eat anywhere from 4-12 small/med a day. My bearded dragon eats 4-10 large ones a day. We go thru them pretty quickly.

I tried both the dubia and the driscoid roaches, and my geckos liked the dubia better for some reason. I don't know about the breeding aspect of things, but the driscoid roaches were also bigger.
I do think you should buy the larger quantity. You'll go though them fast, but not as fast as crickets.
