Hello!
So excited I found this place! I don't have a gecko yet, but I'm hoping I will soon. I've slowly been collecting various supplies for the last few months, and I'd really like to breed Leos. I'll be 18 in December and I plan to attend college to study animation and illustration once I'm out of high school (my dream is to work on video games, but we'll have to wait and see). Aside from the soon-to-be-acquired gecko, I have a pug, two cats, two goldfish, and a betta all living at my house. Plus two hairy gremlins I call brothers (parental units live on the planet known as Upstairs, so they don't have much to do with my reign in the realm of the Basement ;) )
Anyway, really glad to have found a resource for help and tips with Leos :D Can't wait to look around and talk to other reptile owners.

Welcome! Strangely enough I have a much similar story. I plan on attending art college for fine arts or illustration and I'm turning 18 in January! Haha.

What colleges are you looking at, if you don't mind my asking?

Anyway, I have one gecko that I bought three weeks ago. I hope to be breeding by mid next year! Definitely check out some local reptile shows, I got my little beauty for $50 there. :)

Haha! So cool :D
DigiPen is definitely my top choice, but it is hardcore and expensive. Rhode Island School of Design also looked promising, along with the Pacific Northwest College of Art. i'm still really scouting though, its hard to find a school that can do game design/animation, and isn't a scam or a school I'll go to only to find none of the people that I want to work for don't respect it or consider it a degree mill

Still looking around for reptile shows, as well as a herp society sort of thing :bucktooth: its harder than I'd expected, but I shall prevail xD At this point fancy colorations aren't that important to me, but if I want to breed at all I'll have to start looking into it (I really like mack snows xD)

Hey welcome to GF!

How strange, I am 18 and will be majoring in Computer Animation (to work on video games woot) with a minor in Fine Arts. I start classes in less than a month. And on top of it all... I also just aquired my first leo about 3 weeks ago :main_laugh:

Guess it really is a small world sometimes :main_laugh:

Dude! We need to start a club or something xD though I feel like the young'n of the bunch with a year of high school still to go, hehe. What I'm really excited about is that I'm clearing out my PE and health credits this summer so I can have studio art classes next year to flesh out my portfolio.

You guys have any suggestions for breeders I should look at for geckos? From the lack of reptile shows in my area shipping from someone online looks to be my best bet

Emma: thanks for the warm welcome :)

You should check out the classifieds here, or the links towards the top of the page. There are quite a few great breeders on the forums here, you'll have a hard time just picking one haha.
