Hey how long does it take for a Bibron's Gecko to get used to their new setup? Also is feeding an adult one one worm/cricket every other day with every other meal being powdered with multivitamins the standard feeding routine?

Depends on the individual animal, some acclimate in a couple weeks, some take a month or two.

One prey item every other day is not acceptable. Adults should be fed 6-10 appropriately sized prey per feeding and should be fed at least 3X a week. Supplement one feeding per week with Calcium powder, another with multivitamin.

From the care sheets I read it says you have to be careful not to overfeed them as they can easily develop fatty liver disease but they do not specify the amount you feed them per feeding session and other forums don't seem to know much about Bibron's. Are you sure you feed them 6-10 prey per feeding?

The shop keeper said to feed him 3-6 every other day so I'll just do that, watch his weight and adjust accordingly.

Hey Carnuss, and welcome to the forum.

I'd do what Ted (T-ReXx) said. He's extremely knowledgeable when it comes to these things. As for the Calcium powder with D3... not sure about Bibron Geckos, but I give Calcium w/ D3 to all my geckos (which include Leos, and Cresteds).

a) yes I am sure. I've bred bibron's several times in the past. That fatty liver disease stuff is a load of crap.

b) exoterra with d3 is fine for a calcium supplement.

c) Bibron's are nocturnal. They don't bask in day light directly.
