big clutch

Well we had a female leopard gecko lay 4 eggs in a two day span. The first two were laid and she stayed near her hide box still looking fat as ever and laid a second 2 about a day and half later. Has anyone ever have this happen? I have never seen clutches laid this close together. We keep are females seperately so I know that they are from her.

Were both clutches fertile? It is possible that a female could lay clutches a few days apart, but usually at least two of the eggs would be slugs.

as of right now all four look good. I will definently keep posting as time goes by on these eggs.

As of today all are still looking good. Only time will tell. I really hope all survive.

there is a pinkish hue to them so there is definently some development going on.

I had to pull out some babies from the incubator so I checked all four eggs , and all are still doing great.

That is cool, These guys never stop amazing me. I have one female right now that I can see four eggs in and now I am wondering if she may do the same thing. Very interesteing and as the others said please keep us updated.

One of the four eggs did not make it. It started to dimple but still had hopes for it so I put it 4 inches away from the other eggs and gave it 2 days. I just checked it and its definently a goner. All of the other look good though.

That´s realy intersting. I bet many ppl would like to have females laying 4 eggs witout problems.

Sorry to hear about the one egg going bad, we feel for you, as we have an egg that is "going bad" that we're desperately trying to save right now. Congrats on the other 3 continuing to do well!!! :smitten:
