bit woryed about Roi UPDATED 11th Dec

I'm proberly worrying over nothing, but want to be shore.

Rio gone very starnge she had 20 mealworms on the 2nd and nothing since, She can go off her food, but non of the usaul triggers for this has happened. The main worry was she didn't come out of her cool hide for 3 days (well she came out once and sat wagging her tail) and today when I checked her she felt freezing, so I move her to the warm side. She hasn't moved since.

The only change has been, I put in self adesive tiles in.

Temps are
cool side 21C (a tad cold)
warm side 31C
has 4 hide cool/warm/humid and high
normaly has 10-15 gut load mealworms a day
has nutrabal every day on mealwroms and calci dust 24/7 in small bowl

I hope I just worrying over nothing

If your boyfriend won't let you feed crickets to your gecko in order to make him healthier then.. Well I don't want to make you mad

Four days without food isn't usually a big concern, especially because she sounds like she had a big meal when she did eat. Keep watch of her stool color and consistency, observe her behavior, make sure temps are correct and warm, and keep offering food every night. It seems too early to worry, I'd give it about another 4-5 days before I'd start to be concerned. Keep us posted.

yeah tell me about it :main_angry: He will cave if I go on enothe I'm shore :main_yes:

she didn't move or eat again last night. I've weighed her and taken a video of her. Witch I will upload whe my camera and comp deside they do want to talk to each other. She looks a little wobley and dull.

I not tryed hand feeding as yet, as going of her food is normal, but it normaly coninsides with being handled of a change in the viv. She certainly not happy as she gave a good tail wag when I put her back after the weigh in.

here the video

IDK what would happen to her if the adhesive was getting to her. Maybe you should read the label or try doing some research on that.

Otherwise I think she is just fine. She could be slowing down and just not eating because its winter. Or she could be not eating if she is ovulating. As you may know ovulation does weird things to critters so it could make her a little moody too, hence the tail wag.

well she only 5 months old so dout its hormonal.

She currently in her warm hide wagging her tail evey now and then. I thinking of taking the tiles out though thats not gonna be easy.

Irishfox, tail wagging normaly mean a stressed or unhappy Gecko.

I am an idiot

I took out the adhesive flooring smelt the back of the one over the heat mat and boy did it stink of chemical. Looked at the back of the bos it came in something I should have done when I got it, and it got chloride in it.

Could she have chloride poisoning?

she now in a temp home and already alot more active

We all make mistakes, i mean...that was a bad one but we all make them. I would think it could be chloride poisoning, I thought these were tile for reps. Its possible the heat pad is hheating them up and causing a chloride fumes/gas to be released. It would make sence, timing fits.

Its always hard to tell size from a pic but to me yours looks big enough to breed. Leopard geckos can be bred as young as 4 months of age. I do not recommend it but it is possible for a leo that young to ovulate.

I'm normaly so good with checking these sorts of things when it comes to my animals.

She will be going back onto paper towl and staying on it.

Something interesting is that as winter approaches your gecko may slow its eating rate or stop eating altogether. It's nothing to worry about and plus 20 mealworms is a lot:main_yes:

It could be the effects of the chloride that's causing her to act strange, don't beat yourself up, no one is perfect. The good thing is that you got rid of it. It's good to hear that her stool looks fairly normal as well. Keep on watching now that she's off the adhesive flooring and see if there's any behavioral differences. I am curious to see if she'll eat now.
