Hi all i have been back to the shop and the gecko was brown.
having spoken to the lad in the shop he was a new arrival and turned black due to stress. temp changes,new enviroment,too many people etc.he is a golden gecko and is now his normal shade of brown which is good but i cannot say that i am not dissapointed as what i saw was the most beautiful black gecko. the main thing though is that he is now ok.Dave

well glad its all figured out and hes ok... they are pretty nice lil geckos... they have a lil shading of yellow or "gold" at times... i wouldnt mind haveing a couple... but the down fall to me is that you can really stress them out by handling them... or so ive been told...
