Maybe it's my screen, but I don't see the white nose. Mack snow enigmas can have solid eyes without being eclipse.

That being said, a gecko can be eclipse without having a white nose. Great looking gecko! :main_thumbsup:

I have never seen one hatch without a white nose unless it wasn't proven an eclipse. I've seen them hatch without eclipse eyes, but they've always had a white nose.

Many thanks guys!!!

Hi Kristi, I absolutely agree that sometimes the MS Enigma could have dark eyes, but the eyes of this baby are absolutely black. :main_yes:

Secondly, the Enigma is a miracle... as the Enigma gene can influence the Mack Snow eyes color, it could also influence the "the white nose" trait of the Elipse. There are a lot of examples of Black Holes and even BEEs without the typical white nose
(you could have a look at the Leopard Gecko Wiki: http://www.leopardgeckowiki.com/index.php?title=Black_Hole
or even at one of the recent threads in this forum: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=87964)

Off course I will test breed this one, as for sure it will be a holdback. :main_thumbsup:

Best wishes,

Stoyan

Interesting. All my enigmas have had the white nose, too. Since you're not 100% sure on the parents genetics, I would definitely test breed. It's very pretty either way.

ETA: Here is my blackhole from last season.

Yes, Kristi is right it has to have the white nose and there is no such thing as het giant. The giant is a codom gene and the dominant gene is super giant but a nice animal all in all.

Thanks everyone!

Sorry, but I can not agree: in genetics, there are heterozygous and homozygous conditions of a trait doesn't matter how we call this in the "hobby" ("poss het Giant" or just "poss Giant"). Especially regarding the Giant's genetics, I think it is best explained here:

That's could be right Stoyan but for the sake of sanity everybody puts it "poss Giant". When it is put "Het Giant" for me it sounds more like the animal is carrying the trait but not expressing it and we all know that this is not possible with Giants.

We've hatched a lot of Mack Snow Enigmas that had pure black eyes up until about 30 grams or so.. I always thought it was normal for them to have pure black eyes.

Anyway, very beautiful baby you have there, can't wait to see more. Congrats!
