I have had the worst luck with a little female I got awhile back. A few weeks ago, she mauled her own back left foot and tail for some reason I cannot fathom. :main_huh: I found her after work and found her. I've been keeping lizards with great success for ten years and I'd never seen this. Anyway, long story short:

I got her into the vet the next day and we cleaned and wrapped the wounds and started a round of antibiotics. For three weeks my little gal wore bandages, was getting shots and saw the vet every three days to change the minuscule bandages. She lost her toes and part of her tail, but the dead tissue all came off without any hitch, the infection is gone and she's back on track with her eating after all that stress.

However, with her little stump foot, she's been dragging herself around on her front legs because she hasn't figured out how to walk with that little club foot. Today, when I was giving her a little bath (she's still got scabs so she's getting 12 hour antiseptic baths to make sure they stay clean), I noticed a blister on her cloaca region. I'm fairly sure it's from dragging herself around on her little front legs.

Do you guys have any suggestions? She's got an appointment tomorrow, but if anyone has any way I can ease up any pain the blister might induce until then?

Thanks in advance

Oh poor thing.
I would keep her on some flat tile, or very soft paper towel. Keep things very clean.
Hope all goes well.

I've already got her on fairly soft paper-towel I'm changing every 12 hours when I bathe her. I'll see if I can't find softer, or if I can get some tile in there.
Hopefully she'll pull through and start walking soon. : )

Good on ya for taking her to the vet. :D Its good to see that you are taking such good care of her. I wish I could offer more help, but I'm sure your vet will know more. Let us know how her appointment goes.
