Yes, I think they are. I sold my BB (Blazing Blizzard) female from US (Alex Hue) but she was very nervous and she was evil to the male. He is a Banana Blizzard and he is not as nervous as she was.

Not all are like that. I've had 2/4 blizzards be nice, and enjoyed handling. The other two didn't until you get them out of the cage and handle them for a minute, then they calm down.

My adult Blizzards are very calm except one that is a little skittish. They are born being little savages, though... but with time they usually settle down.

While I tend to agree with Marcia, there are always exceptions... My Blizzard ''line'' started with a very chilled out female Blizzard and she was crossed to a Mack to make hets... The past two seasons the hets have given me a dozen or so Blizzards... Some hatched as fire breathing hell spawn and others behaved normally... All of them, but two (at least before they moved out) calmed down as they got bigger... One of the two is a proven adult, but she still is ill mannered last I heard... The other is around six months old and will be pretty flighty before handling, but has never bitten me...

Outcrossing is a huge factor here obviously so it's no wonder your Blizzards are calm Marcia... ;) And on that note I'm outcrossing my Blizzards next season...

I have a pair of BB that (knock wood) are just as handleable as any of my other leopards. They only get handled for their weekly weighing and the occasional "dang what a great looking gecko!" so I don't feel they are any more used to it than the others. This kind of behavior vs. morph correlation fascinates me though. More stories!

I got a blizzard recently. I had no idea they were "spazzes" lol. I also had no idea they had strong jaws. Last night, my blizzard wrenched off some skin off my finger and drew blood! It's already two years old, so I'm a little hesitant to let it crawl up to my neck...as I might be missing an ear later. LOL.

Nothing but NICE here..BB's

I have 1 male and 2 females and they
are pretty sweet .....
But note that I wash off other scents from my hands before handling.
They demand my picking them up, very calm, and not picky eaters.
I assume both the individual gecko and the humanoid,
along with bringing other scents into the handling
or home place, can be an affect on that certain one of any morph.....
take care. HJ

In general my blizzards are pretty relaxed, I have 5 Blizzards and 2 BB's and with weekly handling they relax after about 30 seconds in hand. My nastiest was a female blizzard that I acquired in early 2007, she bit the previous owner regularly and I just kept on picking her up and handling her, shes a sweet heart now and she never actually bit me, she tried but she never actually got ahold of me.

I recently just got two BB's from DM-Reptiles(thanks Duvan). The female is pretty calm and allows me to pick her up. The male on the other hand, if I just walk by his cage and he is sitting near the front, he freaks out and runs across the cage knocking everything out of his way. When I try to hold him he freaks and squirms out of control until I put him down (the little booger is strong). Neither one has tried to bit me though, so thats a good thing. Even though they are freaks, I still love the way they look.:)

I have a male and a female BB. Both are a year old. My female is on the nervous side and my male can be quite a little s*** when he wants to be. They have calmed down ALOT since I first got them ( Feb 2008). I am hoping to get some little devil babies from Loki and Powder this season.

My Blizzard was a little devil when I forst had her but after a few months and a lot of handling she seemed to calm down. Sh can still be a bit skitty but shes a softy now. My worst leo is my tangrine. As soon as I open the RUB she shoots out and bites without warning lol
