Blizzard or Leucistic?

Hello,

I am looking at getting a Leucistic Leopard Gecko but before I do I want to make sure I know what I am doing.

What kind of care does one involve? I was figuring on a 20g long but what else do I need? Substrate? I was thinking about one of those little foam hide cave things you can buy of course a water dish and so on. But what about temps? Basking light or undertank heater? Any other info would be awesome.

In addition, what is the difference between a Blizzard and a Leucistic??? This guy that I am looking at is patternless with a faint yellow back and steel grey eyes. You can see through him but not a lot.

Here are some pictures...

Murphy patternless female.

Leucistic is an incorrect name for patternless. Blizzard and patternless are two different recessive traits. Blizzard results in a fairly colid colored dark pink or purple/greyish gecko. Patternless generally looks like a grey or purple gecko with a yellowish back.

Stick with repticarpet (indoor/outdoor carpet), papertowels, tile, or butcher's paper for substrate

Use an undertank heater. Keep the belly heat temp on the warm side at about 90 degrees.

Use three hides if possible. One warm/dry, one cold/dry, one moist that I would put in the warm side or somewhere in the middle.

You can use a light if you want, but its pretty unecessary. Having a red night lamp is cool for viewing since they are nocturnal.
