Tail

Nice leos... make sure you watch that tail and ake sure he/she is eating well...
it's eating well i just fed it three crickets they both act really aggressive when they feed, is this because they were neglected or do blizzards just have moxie? What should i watch the tail for? meaning signs of infection? is that the same for humans? purulent drainage?

I would put some neosporin (sp) on it with a q-tip and keep it on papertowel.

Those are nices finds though.

I would say a red bb is between 150 & up depends on who you buy it from.

.

Not really needed... reptiles heal fast on their own... A tail loss is not considered an injury in geckos... It is a natural defence mechanism that they evolved to do...

All neosporin does is make the owner feel more comfortable and like they did something to nurse the gecko back to health when in reality the gecko would have healed up just the same without the ointment...

You are better off leaving the little gecko alone... Just feed it and keep it warm and clean... In a couple of sheds it will be completely healed.... Besides, the point at the end of the missing tail tells me that it is well on the way to being healed anyway.... Just leave it alone... It will be fine...

Awsome find by the way... BBs are cool...

Well I have never had to deal with tail loss thank goodness, but from what I've read here you dab a little on there once or twice. I wasn't telling him to play nurse, I was just worried about infection.

Nurse Young

I am a nurse:main_laugh:
And I am the main treatment nurse for the unit I work on.
I am new to geckos and don't know how much the practice transfers from human to gecko...
It dropped it's tail at the pet store (before I purchased) it looks clean and no noted drainage, same for the wound on it's head. Both are eating well. the little one is really little, I think it's too young to have been sold. I don't have measurements because they both act really stressed. "nubby" bit me three time while i was transferring it to the aquarium. does anyone have an idea on the age of them? I can post picture with my hand for reference.

I was checking that out:main_robin: and thought it might be regenerating.
