Hello,
most of the people that raise Blizzard here in Israel said that they can see that Blizzards behavior is more aggressive then other morphs.
I couldn't find any information about that online, only few posts on forums worldwide.
someone can tell me more about it?
thanks

I have a BB(blazing Blizzard), and she's not exactly aggresive, more like the most craziest and curious gecko I've ever seen. She loves being held, she walks right up to my hand. If she just even sees me, then she'll go right up to me and climb to the highest point in the cage.

I have one blizzard that will allow me to hold her for a minute or two and the want down, but the other female whips her tail at me and does not want to be picked up. But both are very curious

My one adult female is very calm and sweet. My other adult female isn't agressive, but she's not a big fan on being held for very long.

My bb Male is a punk. As soon as a open the lid he starts wagging his tail in that "leave me the F**K alone" manner. He sits still when you pick him up unless he's startled and won't take his eyes off you. I held my female and then went and picked him up, i guess i didnt wash all the scent off my hand because he just locked down and started shaking his head. It was actually kinda funny, stung a little, no blood though. He won't mate with them all he does is fight. I'm still gunna keep him for a pet and not a breeder because blizzards look so damn cool. But yes he's got a temper.

I have 1.10 black-eyed Tremper Blazings--most of them have excessive attitude :) I also have one blizzard het Tremper, and she's a bit sassy also. My Blazing het Raptor male is as chill as a super giant albino, though?!?

My male Tremper Blazing Blizzard was all about going apespit (lunging and screaming) when I'd even come near his enclosure for a long time, but now likes to climb into my hand and hang out when given the opportunity. This new behavior only initiated the other day.

My opinion on this is that the founding stock might have been a bit on the defensive side. As this morph was inbred for numerous generations (as most recessive morphs are) this trait was passed on. With more people outcrossing these days you will see less defensive behavior.

Most if not all of my blizzards were/are sweet as can be.

This can be typical behavior in any leo especially young ones.
I think what you are seeing is a leo that does not fear you anymore and tolerates you being there and handling it. You almost become part of the landscape... LOL

Quite possibly. This is my only leo that behaves like this, save for my new (non-Blizzard) hatchling. Just reporting the behavior.

I have an adult male Tremper Blazing Blizzard that I got as an adult and was used strictly as a breeder before I got him. He is the sweetest thing, even without having been handled much prior to me getting him. He knows exactly what to do quickly when put with the girlies, though. ;) lol

Haven’t read this thread, expect the original question. But… I have two female BB that where mean at first, and then they calmed down. Then I have two Blizzard 66% het bell males, that will not bite you unless you grab them. But the generally theory with Blizzards is they are more aggressive than the other morphs.

The blizzards I originaly got from prehistoric were wild but the ones I keep now are baby tame. Varacious feeders though! They'll eat me out of house and home if I let 'em.

Mine is my most active gecko. She climbs constantly. Also, not at all a fan of being bothered.

My personal experience is with combo-blizzards and I found that the aggressive nature only holds true when they're age is from hatchling to about 6 months old. After they grow a bit they loose the aggressive nature and act like most other morphs. Oddly enough I've found that the Albino Blizzard (BB) babies aren't nearly as aggressive as the Mack Snow Blizzard babies?? My MSB babies are very jumpy and don't tolerate handling very much so I handle them a lot!! :main_angry:
