Blood? Help!

I need some advice...I plan on taking him to the vet ASAP but it's Sunday and there's no one at the office to talk to.

My Crested Gecko peed on me while I was holding him today. Annoyance quickly turned into concerned when he walked across my arm and left a trickle of blood behind. I checked him over and he has no apparent wounds; theres a speck of dried blood around his vent, so I'm thinking it had to have come from there. We've had Waldo since March, and he's never ever passed blood before. He lives alone in his tank in a room where he can't possibly come into contact with any other animal, and we strip down the viv at the end of every month for a good cleaning. His eating habits haven't changed, in fact he just finished a spoonful of CGD right before the incident occurred. He was 20 grams and at least 4 months old when we brought him home (I don't know his exact age, but all male characteristics were present) and is now 32 grams.

He looks healthy, has no issues moving and jumping about, and his belly is soft with no hard spots. The only possibility for injury I can think of is the other day when he miscalculated a jump off my arm and fell about 4 feet onto his belly on the carpet. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm not exactly sure how to word this...

He's at a size where he's reaching sexual maturity. Are you sure it was pee that came out? I've noticed, with Leos at least, that there can be a little bit of blood that comes out after they've finished breeding.

Thanks for the well-wishes and info...all embarrassment aside, if that's all it is I'll be very relieved. It was a bit different than just a normal "out of the viv accident" in that there was no feces this time, only a white mass that looked like ureates. He's not continued to bleed that I can tell. Right now, I've moved him from his usual viv into the clean, sterile, "convalescent box" (sterlite box with sterilized hide and water dish and paper towel lining) that I used to quarantine one of my leopards a few months ago. I'll be calling the vet first thing in the morning.

Update: Waldo passed a very normal-looking turd last night. I spoke to the vet, and asked her if it was likely to be the scenario that Mel&Keith described. She said to watch him for a few days, but as long as no blood shows up in his feces and there's no sudden weight loss or changes in eating habits, then that's probably all it was. Little pervert...
