Bols Stripe question

I am getting a bold stripe female and want to get bold stripe babies from her in the future. In order to get bold stripe babies, what kind of morph should the father be? As far as I know the bold stripe is a ressesive trait so would I need another bold stripe or an albino?

I agree... It would be much more rewarding imo to get a male Bold Stripe and work on making beautiful bolds... Even if they aren't the best pair they can still produce awesome babies [goes for any morph]... Don't feel like you have to make more projects out of the female you have by crossing to an albino, making hets for BS albinos, etc... By the time you could make really nice BS albinos you would probably have stunning Bold Stripes... So stunning in fact that you couldn't imagine dulling out their vivid black pattern by crossing to an albino... So yeah get a Bold Stripe male... :main_thumbsup:

Okey I will get a bold male then But unfortunately they are hard
to come by here in sweden...and to import from the states is to expensive.
But hope I find one. Wish me luck!

Just another question: If I say I get a Tremper Stripe to cross with my bold stripe, would the babies be 50/50 bold and tremper?
I'm not so good with the genetics on bolds so better ask you guys

if you get a tremper stripe and breed it to a bold stripe... then you would get stripes het for tremper. tremper is recessive and so needs two copies of the gene to produce tremper hatchlings.

In all honesty it depends upon that the Tremper stripe is. If it's a Reverse Stripe Tremper then you will more then likely hatch out Patternless Stripe's het for Tremper. If you go with a Bold Stripe or Striped Tremper then you will get more often then not Bold Stripes or Stripes het for Tremper.
