During this time of year when sales have slowed down, shows are a lil further apart, and geckos are pretty much just eating and crapping I get really bored. I think I'm in need of doing a project for the community that could take up some of my gaming time and that would be fun and educationial in an adult atmopshere.

I'm looking for some input on what does the community think that we need to keep things moving along.

By "community" I assume you mean the gecko community. Here are some possible suggestions:

--the forum community always appreciates some general gecko-related musings and that often leads to interesting discussions.

--if you're crafty, DIY projects are fun and then you have more stuff to sell at shows as well as information about how you did it to provide

--you can always write more articles for Gecko Time! (I emailed you about something recently)

--there are things missing from the leopard gecko wiki, which I edited about a month ago. For example, in the Eclipse article, there's no mention of white noses (or at least there wasn't when I edited it) and that seems to be the deciding characteristic. Giving that a good read, adding what you think is necessary and then letting the community know what's new is a good contribution.

How's that?

Yeah aliza Ang is working on the gekotime questions. We are really clueless on the golden gecko question. I was thinking of something like a Q&A talk show or something. Something to get people involved or something like that. Something that people can listen to or have a general BSing session. Talk about projects or genetics or new stuff on the horizion gecko related. Even ball pythons or stuff like that.

Is there a local herp society in your area? Ours does a good bit of community outreach volunteering at various festivals throughout the year. We have the regular monthly meeting plus a board meeting at a restaraunt- which always a great get together.

Great ideas Aliza :)
