I was browsing CL, which is probably a bad idea, and opened up this post and had an OMG moment about the poor gecko. I sent the person an e-mail saying I would take the leo, but damned if I was paying for him/her (a little nicer of course, so she writes me back hehe).

I can't really tell what kind of shape the turtle is in, but I'm assuming not awesome. I can't see any of the blatant things that I know for turtle issues...

I was hoping someone would want to rescue the turtle and/or is closer to me (who is an hour away) and will take the gecko.

Yes, I saw that ad too and was also horrified. I, unfortunately, have no room for either turtles or any more geckos.

The person hasn't e-mailed me back yet. They were asking for a ridiculous amount of money for the two animals and set-up, so probably was not impressed with me saying I'd only take them for free. :/

I do have room for one temporary gecko... but I can't fail at fostering again. I'm still trying (sort of) to find homes for a gecko or two, but I keep waffling on which one(s) I want to give up. I look at their little faces and go 'gak! how could I leave you?' lol

On the other hand, I know so little about turtles and definitely don't want to tackle that... ok, maybe a little bit... but really, I don't have the time/room to learn a whole new species.
