We found four during our two week excursion to Costa Rica in late May.

Terciopelo (Bothrops asper) Jaco, Pacific Coast. This was only a yearling.

Terciopelo (Bothrops asper) Rio Tigre, Peninsula de Osa. The infamous "shower asper". This was found early in the morning inside the lodge shower. Such incidents like this are a common occurance on the Osa.
