So this past weekend me and my son descided to go the the St. Louis reptile show. We had been working on getting the cage stands built as well as getting the enclosures themselves temp checked and decorated. With everything just about ready we figured we would try our luck with some local breeders and see if we came up with anything.
Over all the show was good. It mainly focused on ball pythons and bearded dragons. A lot of beautiful animals with a decent variety. After walking around the place five or six times trying to scope out any leopard gecko breeders(I was advised to stay away from the guys only selling 1-3 geckos) I ended up eyeing three different tables. One with a decent amount of SHTCT's or at least they are to my knowledge. Another with mainly albinos and adult geckos and another with a decent variety.
Long story short I ended up picking these three guys/gals. If Im off on the morph or you have any comments feel free to let me know. Im pretty new to the leopard gecko scene but used to own a feel pythons and Boas back in my younger days so go a bit easy on me
Male Super Snow: I absolutly love this little guy. Hes only about 6 months old but Im a big fan of all of the "Snow" types. Through all of my passes this guy was the only one I HAD to have. Im really glad I picked him up. So far hes eating great and doing fantastic with the kids and his enclosure.
Another picture of my young male super snow:main_thumbsup:
Female Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail(I think:main_no: The main breeder guy was away from the table when I came to purchase this girl, so the lowly employee dude didnt answer much of my questions I did have about them. But she looked beautiful along with a fat tail, decent price, and bright colors. Shes a little less then a year old I believe, so I picked her up. So far she is doing OK, but she is still very jumpy, scared, and unsure of me. Hasnt eaten much but she is coming around.
Female Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail(I think:main_no: Same as above but I do know they we clutch mates. This one is still super jumpy and runs at the sight of a shadow. Shes eaten ONE mealworm since being home and wont tollerate anything or anyone coming near her. Im hoping she calms down and starts eating and letting me touch/handle her in the coming months.
Heres a picture of them both together.
Hope you guys enjoyed! Ill be posting updates as they come along.
Thanks guys
