ok so I got my leo last year and she never use's the meal worm dish I still have it in there (I use tong's).also she wont eat cricket's.help please :main_huh:
I tried this a couple time's she just kept missing. also I have been squishing cricket's head a little so it move's but doesn't move fast she can catch these :main_yes:
I have a few geckos who are very poor hunters and some hatchlings who don't get the bowl idea and still think that food comes from above. For some of them crickets was the answer (the ones who needed something that moved faster), but for my poor hunters, superworms do the trick. At most, I have to put the worm down and hold it by one end and they can catch it. The superworms move faster than mealworms, but not as fast as crickets. Also, if you do have to hand feed, it takes a lot fewer superworms to fill a gecko than mealworms. They are expensive if you buy them by the small container at a petstore and often most of them are dead. If you're willing to have a bunch around, you can buy in bulk online and they last a long time. Just put them in something they can't chew through, as I found out through painful experience.
