so ive come up with a list of morphs that i wouldn't mind looking into for my lavender project. I'm thinking of getting one each of these morphs Pure bell albino with lavender color, lavender stripe, Abyssinian, and bold stripe. I'm also looking into radar. i was reading about the different morphs on the leopard gecko wiki and these ones seem like they would be best for a lavender project. I have been doing research on these specific morphs and it seems most lavender stripe are het for tremper albino. I was reading the Abyssinian's hold the color better and the color is more prominent on these. and I also read that bell albino's can have a natural lavender color on them already. But i'm also thinking of maybe adding maybe the snow morph.

There are 2 things to consider in this project, as far as I can tell:
--many geckos have a period in their development where they have lavender coloration as their colors are getting set and then it fades. Be sure the breeders you're getting are true lavenders either by getting older geckos, knowing that the geckos come from a known lavender line and getting to see the parents of the geckos you're thinking of buying

--sometimes the snow gene can have a bad effect on offspring coloration. I've had snow crosses that come out kind of muddy gray/orange, so see what you can produce without the snow before you add that in.

I imagine if you look hard enough you may find some Bell lavenders, or you can just go with Tremper.

I agree with Aliza that you will want to make sure that the Lavenders come from a true Lavender line by going to a trusted breeder (check the BOI), if buying a juvenile ask to see parents, or buying an adult.

Also, lavender lavender is a polygenic trait. To increase the lavender color in your geckos you will want to line-breed. Basically, if you don't already know, while breeding it you will want to breed the best looking babies (2nd generation) back to the parents (1st generation) to create even more lavender in the 3rd generation and so on. Just make sure you are adding fresh genetics to your line as you go. [emoji4]

I'm actually going to work on a lavender project next year. It will be Eclipse & Tremper Eclipse (RAPTOR). I have found that Fascio's are good for lavender. Let me know if you want to see some pics of my geckos. Maybe give you some ideas. [emoji4]

I was looking at Fascio's being i want to get 2-3 females and 2 males i'm thinking of have 2 different lavender projects going at the same time to see what i can get :) maybe even have 4 females 2 females to breed with each of the 2 males so i can have a little play in what i'm breeding for and using a few different lavender color morphs. I know 4 females will produce alot of eggs each season and it can be hard to sell the hatchlings but i know i wont be selling any until at least 20 grams so i know the color is mostly set in as an adult and i will have many to choose from. Can I breed son to mother like breeding a daughter and father together. so the best lavender colored 2nd gen male(s) would breed back to the mother and the best 2nd gen females would be bred back to the 1st gen males or specific to the fathers?
