Just so I'm clear, are you saying that the single gecko in the 3rd picture is the same as the gecko in the first picture that's to the right of the albino, sort of up against the rock wall?

If that's the case, then I'm just as puzzled as you. Although I've heard that some Mack snows can be born with a bit of yellow, I don't think a Mack snow can be born and grow up with as much yellow/tang as the gecko in the first picture and then lose its yellow and become black and white. Did you breed these or get them from somebody? Some normals who are not in good health can get washed out colors and lose their yellow, but that one looks big and healthy. Maybe someone else has had something similar happen, but I'm stumped.

ANY IDEA

No that Tang gecko is his clutch mate sister. Here's when he was younger look @ head markings. The colour change is just astronomical ??? the one to the right is the clutch mate but she kept her tangy colours ?????
ANY IDEA why?

Oh I see. In the 2nd batch of pictures, the first four pictures are the same gecko, the fifth is the clutchmate. You're right, there is a huge difference in color variation. Could be due to a number of things.

If it's female, could be ovulation.
Could be due to low temperature.
Stress.

But it's definitely a tang, carrot tail. Even if it is darker than before.

The problem is its Male and was incubated between 29 degrees celcuis and 30.5 degrees. Cant see that he's stressed keeping all my gecko in seperate drawers and he has mated with two different females of which one is his mother ??

I picked up a wonderful dark Normal gecko from a small petstore and she was covered with spots and very dark when I got her. Since then her yellow has brightened up a lot. When I first got her I couldn't see any yellow wich was why I got her to begin with but she still has tons of spots and is darker then my other normal. I do not however know what she looked like as a hatchling. I think you have a dark normal and it looks a lot like mine did when I first got her. Tho I think yours may have many more spots then even mine lol. The explaination of the sisters dif is unknown to me except that the sister seems to be a tang and this one a normal which I guess is common. Good looking lkeos tho in any case :)

Oh and the fact that she used to be tangy looking very well may mean u have a tang but temps low could cause her to darken? Does seem odd for her to darken to that effect tho since I have never seen that b4. So maby I should just shut up and let the experts help ya LMAO
