Breeders losing their Color?

I read a lot about leos losing their color or gaining spots after breeding. My question is does it happen all the time? Do their normal colors come back? Are the hatchlings affected? I have always wondered that. Does it happen to all leos?

It doesn't happen to all Leos. They seem to fade after breeding and age. They do regain some of their color but not all usually.
As far as I have noticed it doesn't affect any of their offspring quality.
