I'm sure this has been asked before, but this is a huge forum. I know that I can have a 1:4 male to female breeding group if the viv is large enough, but I'm assuming that the male should not be kept in with the female year round. How often should I separate the male from the females?

Should I separate the females after they lay in order to get them back up to proper weight?

It's a matter of personal preference and what works for the geckos. Some people keep males separate from females all the time except for a brief period to mate. Some people keep them together all the time, and some (like me) keep them together for the entire breeding season. As long as everyone is getting along and regaining some of their weight after the season, you're probably fine. I find that when males and females are kept together for the whole breeding season, after awhile the males stop trying to breed. Just about all the males in my collection have stopped trying.
