Breeding Question - Small Seasons?

Hey Guys,

I have a quick question, last May I paired a pair of SHCTB's and a pair of Eclipses. The females both only laid 2 eggs (1 clutch), and haven't laid any more since. They both are currently in good health, did I just breed them too late in the season? Will they finish laying the eggs next season or will I have to pair them again?

Thanks,

How old were your females? And was it their first time breeding? First year females do not always produce well. Try again next year. It should not matter when you breed them because you should not breed until your female is ovulating.

Both of them were definately ovulating. This was the first season for both.

Did you separate from the males after? Because two of my females if left with males seem to stress and absorb most of there eggs.
