I had a leo lay eggs and they hatched yesterday. My question is should my female have laid any more eggs?? The Eggs she laid first were in the incubater for about 50 days. Just curious if I was doing something wrong or what is going on. THanks for your help.

Is she a first time breeder? Is it possible that she's been ovulating for awhile and you bred her right at the end of her ovulation period? First time breeders sometimes only lay one clutch. I have also had a gecko take 6 weeks off before laying again. Look at her abdomen to see if she's ovulating or if she has eggs inside. If you don't know what to look for, do a forum search because there have been pictures posted. Congratulations on your hatchlings.

Aliza, yes she is a first time breeder and I could have caught her at the end of her ovulating period. I have looked several times and no eggs in her. I am just going to wait till Mid Feb. to March before trying again. I think I tried to start too late in the season. thanks for your help.
