Breeding Questions for Phelsuma grandis

I have a pair of crimson day geckos (Phelsuma grandis), which are beginning to breed. I am finding it hard to find info on some specific questions, and I am hoping someone here can help me out.

Do you incubate in an incubator or a tub? My current setup is a plastic bin with holes and damp vermiculite. I use plastic egg crate light diffuser to hold the eggs in place. I am happy to get an incubator if it's necessary, though.

Incubation humidity? I have found a lot of info on temperature, but only one source on humidity, which says 60%. My container sits at ~75 with the lid completely open.

Hard shell vs soft? Most sources I have found say that day geckos lay hard-shelled eggs. My first egg was hard, but today I found two more, and they were very soft.

Do you remove your eggs at all? Some people seem to let them incubate in the enclosure. I am worried about them being eaten, especially because they are usually lain on just the substrate and not hidden, nor in a place I can really cover them.

How often do you get eggs? I have seen sources say anywhere from every 3 weeks to every 6.

All of these things, I have found a couple of sources on, but I would like to hear from more people so I have the best chance of success.
