Ok folks.. As we are all aware, breeding season is here and under way.. Here's my question for you.. How many of you get in trouble with your spouse/significant other for spending to much time with your geckos? My wife got on to me earlier today and said I need to quit hiding in the back room. First thing I do in the mornings is check on everybody (geckos that is), check for eggs, and the incubator. Then its to the computer (in the same room as leos) and get on here (GF) and read just about every new post.. LOL... I have even caught myself staring at my racks day dreaming and my wife comes in and asks what I'm doing.. So who else out there is as "crazy" as i am and gets in trouble?? :main_laugh:

Well my wife is perfectly understanding when it comes to my reptiles because I had A LOT when we met. She took care of them during my deployments and now that I am back she doesn't mind me doing my "reptile stuff". She frankly cares less what I spend on them only because I only spend what I make on them. This way i never get ahead of myself and keep it small scale and purely on projects I seriously enjoy instead of chasing the money. As for your situation goes...tell her there are plenty worse things you can be spending time and money on. lol good luck with that bro.

Great Thread. I am right with you David. She said no more breeding. Well I kinda bred all of my females. LOL The males just jumped right in with the females and before I could get them out they paired up.......

My spouse is not into the leos like I am ..In fact he doesn't really understand everything i talk to him about in reference to my leos and morphs, breeding projects, etc..but he does not have a problem with me spending a lot of time with my animals. He gets just as excited when the babies hatch as I do but nope I would not leave and let him take care of them LOL he doesn't have the education enough (nor do I think he wants it) to take care of them properly. Not that I don't try to educate him mind you, he just doesn't have the interest I do :p I do gab about it with him and my children and the kids have learned a lil but I think my husband just lets me talk lol I do not think he listens haha

Same boat here. She's not happy with the time spent on them. But hey, Just because our significant others haven't found a hobby that they are interested in, doesn't mean we still can't have ours. I won't quit something I love. She'll have to deal with it. LOL.:main_thumbsup:

gecko addict when

I'm not sure:
if I voted right or not.
Does giving them the choice to either tolerate
my time spent with my geckos or leave ......

Then I get another 55 gallon to fill the space
where her cedar chest used to sit.
Does this mean problems with the spouse or
do I have a problem with being a gecko addict?
Answer may not matter as I really enjoy the new
Sunglows in the 55 gallon.
Take care. HJ
