I had my gecko out just now and noticed he had some broken toenails on his back feet. The nail's gone, but the toes are okay. He's never had problems with shedding, and has access to a humid hide 24/7. He sheds about every 2 weeks, and I've never noticed him having trouble getting the skin off. I know he's kind of dumb, and he bit off a nail trying to catch a mealworm, so could it be that he chewed on his nails when trying to eat the shed?
