I bought a tangerine het eclipse female last year who I bred last season to a rainwater eclipse male (firewater cross), producing the hatchling in my avatar. This hatchling started out so beautiful but has since started to dull in color. The mother also seems to be browning. She started out a nice bright orange (maybe not the best tang ever, but pretty decent) but, after she was bred last season, looks much darker. Her temperatures are all correct and she is not stressed, so I'm not sure why. However, the hatchling she produced is one I was planning to use to make tangerine typhoons next season. But I wanted good orange color in my typhoons. Will using a hatchling from a browning mother ruin my tangerine typhoon project? Or will it just cause a delay in how quickly I get good quality tangerine in my typhoons?
I don't have current pictures of them right now, but will get around to posting some over the weekend.
This is the mother before she started to brown:
